Since becoming a Christian I had often thought about using magic tricks as a means of communicating serious Gospel principles in a way that is easily understood. The opportunity at first came as an Evangelist doing Gospel missions overseas I needed to reach the hundreds of children that came to the events

The word of God is powerful "how can anyone know without hearing"

Jesus used powerful illustrations to get the message across, so I started to include a few simple object lessons to help explain the Gospel, the Kids delighted in the routines and surprisingly so did the adults, and on more than one occasion non Christians were drawn in to the meetings to find out what was going on. Where possible Non- Christians are invited to attend and many are still going to church following their first encounter with the Gospel at one of our presentations.

It is so warming to see smiling faces and hear laughter amongst people whose lives are often so grim that there is seldom any place for a smile, and all this wrapped up in The Good News as well. On these missions we bring light and laughter into dark places and leave the light of Christ behind to keep the darkness at bay. This has now developed into doing Gospel magic presentations for family services  at churches here in the UK. I am a member of  Christian Magicians UK.
